The effect of Prozac are still astonishing to me. My father, was a pastor of a Nazarene church for many years (still alive, but just retired these days.) and when we were younger, something just snapped.
It was brought on by lots of little things snowballing into each other. I think the breaking point for him was when an associate pastor left and took about a third of the congregation with him.
My father became very melancholy, and when he was angry, it was more...extreme than usual. I had welts and was bleeding just a little one of those time. I learned my lessons, though and to this day, though, I never held it against him. I know he was dealing with some rough times.
But the doctor prescribed some Prozac to him, and thankfully, it helped him to even out. He was back to doing the Lord's work, and loving it! Although he only needed Prozac for just a little time, it brought my dad back to me.
He's apologized more time than he had to for those rough times, and especially for hurting me. Honestly, though I never expected an apology for it, ever. He's my dad. I'd love him any way, taking the good with the...not-so-good. :)
